Sharonna McQuack has managed to charm her way in and out of messes throughout her entire life.  She displayed an early apptitude for magic, but was only admitted into the Eldritch Academy after writing a compelling, 19 page essay on why she should be allowed to study there.  And though the essay was very good for a grade schooler, it was really only the kindness of the current headmaster that opened the door.

While there, she had to work twice as hard as the other students, just to keep ahead of the curve and not fall behind.  This led her to explore new forms of magic that were...not on the curriculum.  Dark magic, as in magic that required the use of one's spiritual being or "soul" became her cutting edge.  There were, of course, pros and cons to this sort of magic; you either had to sacrifice a small portion of your own spiritual being, or take someone else's.  Typically, Sharonna will elect to take someone else's.  Most of the time, they won't notice a thing.  It isn't as though a tiny piece will impact your day-to-day life.  But taken enough, one can start to experience side effects, such as fatigue and shortness of life.  This is what makes her magical stylings so unappealing to the community at large.

Fortunately the only thing greater than Sharonna's love of magic is her love of the Arts.  She writes movie scripts and has acted on both stage and (very, very, VERY low budget, obscure) screen.  Her prefered genre is horror, but won't pass up a good dark comedy or even sci-fi.

When she isn't writing or acting, Sharonna loves to garden, cultivating all kinds of poisonous and carnivorous plants, as well as some more harmless flowers.  She might also be found with a cocktail and a good book.
