About

Anastasia, alias the superhero Harmonizer, has a considerable amount of power over music. By using any musical instrument, (she uses a harmonica, hence the name) she can make anyone who hears it dance under her control... or, it's supposed to...

Ever since a traumatic experience at ten, her powers are wildly out of control and if she so much as blows a single note on her harmonica, people around her will get hurt. Badly hurt. So instead of using her powers, she trains in ninjitsu and uses that to fight crime instead. She won't use music at all, even in life-threatening situations, and this isn't something she'd tell anyone.

She is very friendly and insanely cheerful and loves talking to everyone (actual translation: being annoyingly talkative). Still, she really can be a bit of a jerk sometimes when angered, and if pushed too far, get violent. Fortunately, it rarely happens. She gets easily distracted, and she rushes into things without thinking most of the time. She's so full of energy, it takes a lot for her to get tired.

She doesn't actually stay in one place, but moves around cities fighting crime as a rogue hero. Venice is her favourite city by far.

She has one very dangerous weakness; she is easily manipulated. She also doesn't have any qualms about breaking the law, if she knows it would help people.

She used to be an enemy of SHUSH due to a terrible misunderstanding, but now, thanks to Agent Carol Torres and Director J. Gander Hooter, they have reconciled, but with a cost. She is getting increasingly terrified of her powers and hopes she doesn't lose control one day.

Now, she is under house arrest, and thanks to Quiverwing Duck, is able to gain more confidence in herself to continue fighting crime and going on SHUSH missions to pay off her sentence.

She is also still helping her childhood friend and keeping him company when she realises what he'd become, and deals with the occasional crime that Darkwing misses out.

((OOC: For more info on her family, the Octaves, PM me. Also pssst. I RP these overpowered dorks too, shoot me something.))

Harmonizer put it away, but she cracked a smile and giggled. "I'd believe eet. You're terrible," she snorted and lightly punched his arm. Then stared at it nervously as if worried it would fall off.

When it did not, she heaved a sigh.

"So you are really okay?" she asked again, taking his shoulders. "I just want to make sure. I know you went through a lot of things."

She hesitated, then started to grumble.

"I was going to ask eef you wanted to 'ave a cookie with me at zat cafe, but you don't eat, do you. So... coffee eenstead? I mean, I'll eat ze cookies and you can drink your... dead bean juice."

"I'm not gonna kill you, Harmonizer," said Quiverwing, trying to sound reassuring, although he also sounded a little exasperated. "I try to avoid killing anyone unless there isn't any other choice." Not every hero had a 'no kill' code, apparently.

He did give the harmonica a thoughtful look once Harmonizer brought it out. "A last-ditch solution, only. I have a lot of ways to take someone down. They might not enjoy it, but they can not enjoy it while also being alive. Anyway, this discussion is a little ghoulish, I don't want you to think I have contingency plans on how to murder my friends just in case they go bad."

That was true. Although Quiverwing Duck did have contingency plans on how to neutralize his friends using non-murder methods, should that need ever arise.

Pouting intensifies. "I don't like bad surprises either..."

She continued to look at him, hesitated, then spoke.

"Uh... can I at least ask eef eet will kill me...?" she asked, lifting a brow. "Because I probably need to write a will... also maybe find Reggie a girlfriend and teach Gosalyn 'ow to properly throw a shuriken. I mean, I won't be responsible eef I'm dead..."

How can she speak so lightly about possibly dying?

Instead of looking offended or scandalised at his next words, she just looked sad.

"Been there, done zat," she sighed. "Negaduck."

No other explanation was needed apparently.

"You know what... eef nothing else works, you can break my harmonica."

The thought was terrifying her, but she kept the fear down and pulled the metal instrument out.

"Eet contains a bit of my soul een eet... damaging eet een any way will stun me completely."

"Okay. Look. If it were a fun surprise, then I would relent," Quiverwing tried to placate Harmonizer. "Because I understand that even fun surprises can be stressful. This is a different situation."

He gestured at Harmonizer as she hugged him. "I can barely spar with you as it is. It would take a lot of effort for me to overcome that if I really had to fight you. So, I would already be at a disadvantage, therefore I need to keep my ideas and techniques secret and hope it would never come to that."

"Also," Quiverwing raised a warning finger at Harmonizer. "This is not some sort of weird challenge to you to get yourself possessed or turned evil just so I'll have to fight you and take you down, in order to satisfy your curiosity."

              "'Ey, whoa-"

Harmonizer suddenly found herself upside down, and grinned remorselessly at Quiverwing. When he righted her, she started to pout. "But I don't like surprises..."

She gently rubbed his shoulder before hugging him again, sensing it was okay to do so. She didn't say anything, hoping the hug would speak volumes for her.

Harmonizer was already letting herself listen and watch for danger. She was less good at keeping it subtle for Ditya with her constant fidgeting, but she kept smiling at the child. Smiling helped, yes?  "Yeah, sure," she told Gemini, already...

Death apparently was bad at understanding jokes, because he frowned deeply and crossed his arms. "No. Didn't you hear me? Souls need me to send them off."  The hug took him by surprise, though, but after Gladstone, nothing really surprised him...
