Potsherds (Harmonizer and OC rp)

(OOC: I'm blank on ideas so this is kind of a "get to know you" rp, I suppose? Send me a message if you have an idea for making it more interesting. XD )

Not long after Jab Specks, Raindrop, Six, and Harou left the proximity of the building the robbery and explosion had taken place in, the pottery store owner arrived with a bag of groceries. Seeing the damage, a puppy like whimper escaped her. As wolf took in the sight of the overturned craft table and shelves and the debris on the floor, she shook her head.

"No... No. Please be a hallucination. I have to make a payment this week! What am I going to do?"
Tempest ran blindly toward the back room but her foot caught on a piece of shelving, sending her to her knees.

"Ah!" She yelped.

Scrambling back up, she limped to the room and rummaged for the firebox that contained her rental agreement and other important documents, seeing that damage caused from break-ins and super villain activity was not covered in the warranty, she sobbed, sinking back onto the floor. She didn't even notice that her leg had sustained a cut from her fall.

A rough looking fellow peered in through the open shop door. Hearing muffled sobs coming from the back room, the rat went inside, closing the door behind him. Misery loves company, as the saying goes, and Tempest's day was about to get worse.

"Some weird looking spotted duckling." The feline hissed. "He blew a hole in my wall! Probably trying to steal money from the cash box."

He looked around the room at the damage.

"Someone owes me in damages." He jabs a finger at Harmonizer. "Find this brat or you'll be the one paying for not stopping a crime."

The cat was ill tempered and his anger was deep. Someone needed to pay. He didn't care who.

"Whhaaat?" Harmonizer looked slightly offended. She did not like this cat, but there, he found her off switch. She swatted his finger away. "I offrais! I was offereeng! Be lucky I'm not asking for payment!"

Or, like her father, kidnapping a whole town of children because said payment hadn't been made.

And she wasn't intending on arresting a child. It just troubled her that someone so young was involved. She knew enough to know someone older was probably behind this. Probably even making the child take the blame...

She would have to find the brains behind this.

"I'll just 'ave a look, then I'll see what I can do," she said, folding her arms. "Eef you want to be difficult maybe you should call ze police eenstead."

Tempest's shyness melted away as her own indignation rose. "Hey, there's no need to go pointing fingers at the one person here who is trying to help. My store was damaged, too, but I'm not complaining about all of the hours of work and profit I lost."

She lowered her ears, feeling her bravery fade back into trepidation. "I'm...going back outside. Maybe I can pick up a trail."

The feline huffed and ignored the wolf. "Whatever. I just want the brat caught."

Harmonizer frowned at him. "Then let me see ze cameras."

She didn't like kids on a daily basis, but this was taking it too far for her standards.

Tempest left Harmonizer and the feline as she wandered back outside, sniffing furiously.  The trail was faint but the smell of the explosive residue was sharp enough for her to pick up.  She followed it to a spot where the scents were the strongest.  The Duckling had stood here for some reason, but that was all she could pick up.  She looked around for more security cameras in the area, but she didn't notice anything sticking out from any of the surrounding rooftops. She sighed. She should probably just go back and start documenting the mess.

"Do what you have to do and get out." The feline was losing even more patience and getting more annoyed by the minute.

He started out of the room to head back into the shop to look around to make sure nothing else had been stolen or damaged.

Harmonizer frowned, but she went to check on the tapes the feline had left running on the computer.

Nothing happened for a while, then a little black and white duckling placed a bunch of explosives by the wall, before blowing the whole section up. He took the safe and left, and was soon pursued by a canine of some sort...

She narrowed her eyes for a moment, trying to make out the grainy figures. She made a mental note for the description of the little duckling, which would be eady to spot, but she knew that canine. She was a superhero, and probably tried to stop him, but failed, since the safe wasn't returned to the owner yet.

After checking through twice, she walked out to find the feline. "What was een zat safe anyway?" she asked. He'd mentioned money, but that didn't seem to be it... banks had even worse security here. If they wanted not to waste any explosives and draw the attention of the nearest superhero, they could go to the banks at night. Much easier.

Seeing Tempest return, she glanced at her. "Found anything yet?"

"I'm not sure. The smells got all muddled together so I assume there was a struggle of sorts. It smelled odd though," Tempest played with her hair uncertainly. "Like something in a machine drove over everywhere the kid stepped."
